Taco Tienda

Taco Tienda Mexicana was opened in 2003 by owner Humberto Nuno, who came from Guadalajara, and blends a taqueria with a Mexican grocery at 31642 John R Rd in Madison Heights. The menu centers on street tacos (birria with consome for dipping, shrimp, steak, cecina, al pastor), burritos, tortas, tamales, and elote, with the attached market stocked with Mexican snacks, drinks, dried chiles, and pantry staples. It is a family-run operation known for hearty portions and house salsas. Voted the #2 taco spot in Michigan by the Michigan Small Business Spotlight audience.
