Located at 1101 Ludington Street in downtown Escanaba, UP North Specialties is a gift shop with a difference. Every product in the store is made right here in the Upper Peninsula. Candles, lip balms, wooden crafts, stickers, magnets, cards, mugs, jewelry, UP North Roast coffee, Yooper Nuts, and more fill the shelves, all created by UP crafters and small producers who pour the spirit of the region into everything they make.
But Maddi did not stop at retail. UP North Specialties doubles as a platform for local makers, connecting small UP creators with new customers who fall in love with their work. Custom gift baskets are available for anyone who wants to send a little piece of the Upper Peninsula to someone they love. And for those who want to get hands on, crafting classes let you learn to make your own creations to take home.
