Before Traverse City Whiskey Co. opened in 2012, Michigan had a handful of craft distilleries making various spirits. What Traverse City Whiskey Co. set out to do was narrower and more focused: make great American straight bourbon whiskey in Northern Michigan and do it right from the start.

Located at 2 N Park St in the heart of downtown Traverse City, the distillery and tasting room sit at one of the most walkable intersections in the city. The production happens right here, giving visitors the chance to see the process behind the product and understand why whiskey made in this particular place tastes the way it does.

Northern Michigan Straight Bourbon Whiskey is the flagship, a proper bourbon that has earned shelf space in stores and bars throughout the state and beyond. The Batch 001 and Batch 002 expressions, along with limited releases and barrel-strength bottlings, give whiskey enthusiasts a reason to keep paying attention to what is coming next.
