Goodale's Bakery

Goodale’s Bakery & Deli has served Grayling since 1971, when founder Loren Goodale started baking in a 12-by-12 storefront; it describes itself as family owned and operated for almost 54 years. The shop fires up its fryers at 5 AM for donuts (sour cream and filled varieties are customer favorites), Michigan pasties with flaky crusts, cinnamon rolls, and breads, and the deli side makes sandwiches and hot items with Kowalski and Little Town meats. Regulars know to arrive early because popular items sell out by noon. Voted the #1 donut shop in Michigan by the Michigan Small Business Spotlight audience.
