Kzoo Cream in Kalamazoo is turning a family recipe into something truly remarkable, one frosted whisper at a time. Owner Kristi Potts began baking her mother’s secret cream cheese sugar cookies as a way to preserve cherished memories after her mom was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, and what started as an act of love quickly became a community sensation.

After receiving between 500 and 1,000 cookie orders per week through word of mouth alone, Potts knew it was time to give her business a permanent home. Today, Kzoo Cream operates a drive through shop at 1502 South Westnedge Avenue, offering Frosted Whispers cookies in classic and seasonal flavors alongside soft-serve ice cream, dirty sodas, coffee, and lunch items. With support from Michigan Women Forward, Kristi turned her passion and her mother’s legacy into a thriving business that Kalamazoo has embraced wholeheartedly.

Kzoo Cream is more than a sweet shop. It is a story of family, perseverance, and the kind of community spirit that makes West Michigan so special.
