Mudgie’s Deli & Wine Shop was founded in 2008 by Greg Mudge in Detroit’s Corktown neighborhood at 1411 Brooklyn St, and the block outside is now named Greg Mudge St. It pairs stacked sandwiches made with house-smoked and house-roasted meats with a wine shop, wines by the glass, and seasonal cocktails, plus two outdoor patios and a tiki bar. Signature sandwiches include The Mudgie, the Gutty, and the Barrett, with vegan and gluten-free options on the menu. The shop has been named Metro Times Best Deli in Wayne County 2010-2024, Hour Detroit Best Sandwich Shop 2013-2021 and 2023, and Detroit Free Press 2022 Restaurant of the Year Classic. Voted the #5 sandwich shop in Michigan by the Michigan Small Business Spotlight audience.
